Today’s prompt: any dreams? Yes, actually. I want to earn a Master’s degree. Of course, there’s more to dreaming than just wanting. Wishing needs to turn into working, and that’s what I’m doing now.
Dreaming –
One day
I’ll know what I’m talking about
One day
I’ll be standing on Southern ground
One day
I’ll see
How it feels to earn a degree.
It’ll be a dream
Come true.
One day. . .
If only it wasn’t so far away.
One day
I’ll look back and say
“One day
I’ll do better
And collect a few more letters
Where the weather’s
Warmer.”
Day One
(that’s today), I’ll do my best
Write my papers and take my exams
Day Two
(tomorrow) I’ll rest
Spend time with my fam.
Day Three
(you get the idea) I’ll take my tests
And give all I can
One day
The days will go by faster
Until I’m standing in a gown
Being handed my Master’s.
